Did Pat Buchanon Just give something away? RE: swiftvets/Republican party
On MSNBC he was talking about the swiftboat ads and he said

"Have you seen the new ones? Yeah well I got 'em over the.."

Sounded like he was about to say internet but caught himself and continued...

"Ya know, I've seen them written up, they are really potent because they deal with the medals and things and they got him throwing the medals over the fence, it is very very powerful..."

Anyway I don't know if he gave something away about getting early access to these ads, and I don't even know if these ads have aired yet but he clearly caught himself and changed the story midstream for some reason.

2. The latest one
by Ted Sampley basically calls Kerry a communist. It's on the web now. Btw, I'm in California and they've played the Shitboat ad #2 at least 20 times today. (they must be buying a lot of ad space in a 'safe' state.)

I was channel surfing, but I probably did see it on cable.

4. I saw it on TV already.
If I remember right, it's about Kerry throwing his medals away, and saying those awards didn't mean anything to him.

7. The fact that the SBL are still making headlines
reinforces my belief that the campaign is not going well at all.

it's not unreasonable for me to question the effectiveness of the Kerry campaign. :(

I think the campaign shake-up is a positive action on their part.

13. Huh?
I didn't say anything about anything being 'unreasonable'.

I guess I misunderstood your post. I find the idea that the Bush campaign is doing great to be pretty far-fetched though. You have Kerry ahead in most polls, a half million people protesting Bush on the streets of NY, Kerry leading in the battleground states, rhetoric from the Republicans that has been reduced to calling people 'girlie men' -- I guess you can find reasons to be pessimistic if you want, but I don't see it.

The RNC is giving us tons of material to work with, but Kerry reps are nowhere to be seen or heard. They should be out in force bashing the convention/speeches. Wish they would use Dean and Clark more.

Daily Show is on now. That should cheer me up.

17. The reality is the networks are actively trying to elect Bush
but it's the people who vote.

11. I have a whole different outlook
on the swift boat ads. Especially the one concerning "they cut off ears, and on and on and on". I am watching them and the guys appearing in the corner talking trash is not something that I hear. I hear this beautiful melodious, poetic sounding Kerry being very anti-war. His words are flashing on the screen, and this voice goes on and I begin to fall in love with the guy. When I see these ads, it is no longer a vote for the democratic party, but a vote for an anti-war Kerry. Michael Moore and everyone always says, well why doesn't he come out and denounce the war. He already did. Years ago. These ads could very well get him the anti-war vote. Have hope, people. Sometimes things are not what they seem.

14. With these out, the Kerry campaign has no excuse not to use
the "How can you ask a man" clip. It's just a horrible irony that Kerry will have to answer his own question, as President.

Hey Pat, it's on the net, too!
