2. i wish i were. after seeing ted with john edwards last night i
didnt feel like watching that again for awhile. ted was just a bit too doubtful of edwards and why he was calling out bush for his comment about not winning the war on terror.

9. Agreed. Koppel was definitely holding Edwards to a different standard.
I was amazed at the degree of grilling Koppel applied to Edwards. To me, it's a sign of things to come when we win in November. Again, the media will flip-flop* and return to harsh criticism of the President (since it will be a Democrat).

* (or not, depending on the context, since they'll be maintaining a right-wing cowered perspective)

16. Who is counted in "The Media"?
Are they only counting owners, editors, commentators, and reporters? Not bloody likely. They probably count the cameramen, the grips, the gaffers, the soundboard technicians, the typesetters, and just maybe the janitors.

I've seen a few of these "media" polls and getting to the methodology is everything. Everything.

15. I came away with a different impression
What I saw was Koppel playing devil's advocate with Edwards, but doing Edwards a favor by simply feeding Edwards the Karl Rove lines and allowing Edwards to respond for however long he wanted to, without interruption, and have the last word. In other words, Koppel was simply playing Ed McMahon to Edwards' Johnny Carson. He was deliberately helping Edwards out and Edwards handled it brilliantly. The gist of the show? That Edwards can make mincemeat of anything Karl Rove throws at him.

4. Chris Matthews...
...made a comment right before he cut to commercial that Kerry should be afraid after the performances over the last two nights. Did any one else see that? Does anyone care what Matthews thinks?

13. Chris and his Wife are voting for Kerry - He just says stuff to stimulate
panel conversation, but they don't represent his personal beliefs.

17. He could be lowering expectations for Kerry
That's not necessarily a "Bad Thing". Kerry has to get his expectations lowered quite a bit to pull even with W before the debates.

Brokaw really impressed me tonight...

they also mentioned that the only reason Ahhhhhnold was there was to basically fill the seats...he is pretty much the opposite on all the views of the misadministration...

12. Thank you thank you thank you
Tom Brokaw and any other self-respecting 'journalist'. PLEEEAAASE keep disseminating and dissecting this shit for what it really is to the moderates watching! A stage show!!!

In the words of the Log Cabin Republicans leader: "Lipstick on a Pig!"

BTW, is there anywhere that has the RNC platform put into condensed format? This would be good ammunition, IMO.
