Kerry STOPPED his ad!
Rethugs win because they have the courage to be bold. I'm really pissed that Kerry stopped this ad.It is NOT on his website and it was a great ad.

But Dole also made another statement that day, one that hasn't been aired until now. Of McCain's charge to President Bush during a 2000 debate—"You should be ashamed"—Dole told Wolf Blitzer, "He was right." Dole made the remark off-air, while CNN broadcast a portion of McCain's 2000 debate remarks. The Kerry campaign had been using the debate footage in an ad called "Old Tricks" but stopped airing it recently at McCain's request.*

2. There was a Smearboat ad on New York TV this evening.
Didn't expect to see one in this state. Probably because of the convention. Maybe it was national?

It appeared to be a full minute too, which is more expensive, and it was much nastier than I'd expected, even after having already seen parts of it. The mainstream media has showcased them as much and as frequently as possible for the better part of a month, typically right before they criticize Kerry for dwelling on Vietnam.

In the commercial there were guys saying basically that they were tortured for what Kerry 'gave' the North Vietnamese. Real bitter, nasty stuff.

I can't believe that Kerry is pulling any kind of negative ad in the face of this stuff, which sadly works.

3. Why doesn't MoveOn..
use the McCain footage and make their own ad?

They can ignore Kerry if he wants that one to be pulled.
