Good Grief, am I the only one that thought pickle's...

speech performance was at best, average? Every talking head is talking about her "WOW" speech...it was good in the sense that she pronounced her words correctly, unlike her simian spouse, but that is all the credit she gets.

1. contrast to what they were saying about Teresa's speech . . .
and you'll understand a little better just how completely the media supports the Bush candidacy . . . Bush is good for big corporations, so they want him to stay in office . . . and when GE, Disney, and Time-Warner speak, the media outlets they own listen . . . and comply . . .

16. Not the economy and not security--it's the MEDIA, stupid.
On so many levels all the TV media outlets are tanking Kerry.

2. I thought the speech was way below average.
Her voice was flat, matter-of-fact. She seemed distant from what she said. I thought it was an awful delivery.

3. I agree -she got locked onto the teleprompter at least 4 times
the teleprompter to her left. I counted at least 4 times (really more like 6) when she was frozen and just plain reading.

Then have a convention that suggests this. You have trotted out pro-choices, pro-gay rights people, pro environment people, people not kowtowing to the radical right yet the platform is one big cesspool of theocratic and corporatist bullshit.

She is called “Pickles” for the same reason you freaks called Hillary “Hitlerry” and such. Overall, it’s clearly not an overtly offensive name as compared to what the Clinton’s had to deal with for years.

Again, if this is a center right nation then please campaign and have your convention to suggest this is truth. If this were true, then the Republicans would have no problem rolling out every Conservative dunderhead in their party for prime time consumption. But noooo…You pull out pro-choicers, moderates and try to spin this crowd of thugs as “Compassionate.”

And that proves this isn’t a “center-right” country. I don’t doubt on some issues this is a “center-right” country, but on many other issues this nation is “center-left.”

do that "Thank God *'s the president" line? Luckily I was between sips at the time, or my own Kool-Aid would have spewed forth from the nostrils, dying the nostril-hair a retro punk-rock hue.

12. Pickles
I have been given to understand that 'Pickles' is the nick-name used in that nick-name crazed family. Here we have other terms for her.
BTW: Nice to meet you. I suppose you won't be staying.

18. Thank you for sharing your wife's views
with the unedjamacated masses. Hey, does my husband (with a doctorate) trump your wife in his view that the fact that they even needed to "humanize" Bush says it all?

8. I guess that's the advantage of watching C-SPAN, I get to miss the spin

and I thought it was kind of average, as you say, OK, but not great. So there is some kind of great spin-building now that it was the best thing ever? I don't think folks are that gullible.
