Kerry to Address Veterans Today in Nashville, Tennessee at 11:40AM

Sen. John Kerry is expected to address the American Legion at 11 a.m. today at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

More than 2,000 enthusiastic Democrats turned out last night as he arrived at an aircraft hangar at Nashville International Airport shortly before 10.

Kerry referred to the Republican National Convention when he told the crowd: ''It ain't New York where things are going on. It's right here in Nashville.''

Appearing with Kerry was former Ohio Sen. John Glenn, the astronaut who in 1962 became the first American to orbit the Earth. Both were welcomed by an assortment of state and local Democratic leaders, including Gov. Phil Bredesen, Rep. Harold Ford Jr. of Memphis, Nashville Rep. Jim Cooper and Mayor Bill Purcell.

Watch for vets turning their backs on Kerry... in fact, watch for an all-out disrespect session.

I have a strong feeling that some of the American Legion attendees have received marching orders from the GOP to jeer Kerry and disrespect him as much as possible, so that their display becomes the "news," rather than Kerry's speech.

I hope not, but the Rove crowd has grown predictable.
