GOP disses three groups so far -- Is this the trifecta?
So far, we've seen the purple heart band-aids, mocking wounded american soldiers..... then there's the two large crosses embedded in the podiums on the stage (when they show the whole stage you can see on tv) which must be a subtle jab at jewish people, or maybe meant to imply "KKK" and intimidate blacks..... and last night they had Arnold tell the unemployed and those who haven't had a raise in three years that they are just "girlie men".

Anybody else to offend?

13. That's not subtle
it's practically a bludgeoning.
You have to go out of your way to pick the right wood veneers to look like that.
It was designed and built to look like crosses.

14. I am kidding, NYFM. But it's an attempt a "subtlety" in that by doing
it this way, they can get their Biblethumping supporters to go "awright!" while having some kind of "deniability" they wouldn't have if they mounted a big old crucifix with one of the RNC players nailed up to it in the middle of the stage, with the Passion Play Dancers doing the evening's variety show entertainment around it.

20. Rove said the Jewish vote was critical in Florida. This should help.
For the life of me I can't understand how any minority could vote for these guys.

16. Bush has apparently always believed this
One of his business school professors quoted him as saying this in a class. Ironic, considering Bush has never worked a day in his life and has had everything handed to him on a silver platter.

12. Arnie is a washed-up actor who has to rely on his past...
acting career to make himself look "cool" today.

What he was saying last night, his movie cliches and all, made him look like an idiot. I could NOT take him seriously (I read the transcript on the Internet, I didn't watch that filth). I doubt most people did.

He sounded like an immature 14-year-old boy. The Repukes should be embarrassed.

19. The whole thing reminds me of a televangelical extravaganza
I keep waiting for them to show the 1-800 number to give donations.

I did not notice the crosses - does anyone have a pic of that? That is really outrageous.
