The Cubs were getting walloped by the Expos--the EXPOS--so I figured the night couldn't get any worse. So I switched to NPR to see what they were up to at the convention.

I heard the voice of the Terminator:

"...and to those pessimists out there who are always talking about how badly the economy is doing, I say to you: don't be an economic girly man!"

(massive applause and cheering)

"Our economy is the envy of the vorld!"

I told Liza about this afterward. She said, "Good. I hope they say that every day until the election." And she's right. So, if you're worried about your job, that makes you a girly man? Thanks, Republicans. I feel so compassionated.
