bag of tricks next? That "Uncle Karl"...he's such a funny man. I know he has to be scratching his bald little head in bewilderment. Those who have watched his "show" are bored now and know how his tricks work. He just doesn't quite get the same response he once did when the "tricks" were new. It doesn't captivate the audience like it once did, but have no fear, "uncle Karl" will come through, 'cause that "uncle Karl" is quite the jokester...

sounds like his bag of tricks may be exhausted.

I think all that image-building magic worked for Ronnie Reagan mainly because 1) he had charisma and could give a moving, emotional speech 2) there weren't big national crisises of the 9-11 variety to be dealt with, 3) the economy was recovering after the oil-shocked 70's.

it was a great read too! I think Karl Rove gets a kick out of watching Democrats get mad. He LOVES to get under our skin, 'cause it means that what he is doing is working. When we don't respond to it "uncle Karl" gets mad...boo hoo...
