Freepers think media is biased against gop AND dems are scandalmongers!?

I've been perusing posts at http://www.freerepublic.com just to see what our unworthy counterparts are thinking right about now, and surprisingly its almost the exact same as what we're thinking.

1) They think the media is biased against them heavily. Many of them even say Fox is taking "Fair and balanced" to extremes to promote the dem point of view and bash the Repubs, especially the convention.... WTF? Are we watching the same network here? That is the most delusional thing I've ever read.

2) They are totally confident that Bush is going to win, and for many of the same reasons. They think Bush is inherently more likeable, somehow. I have no idea how they came to this conclusion, considering that almost everyone who isn't a bible thumping conservative that I've spoken to in the last 6 months thinks that Bush is the next hitler.

3) They sincerely believe we are cooking up scandals behind the scenes, and are trying to run a smear campaign to 'defame' their man. I just have one question for them:

What the fuck are we going to defame about a man who has failed at everything he has ever tried? He shirked his wartime duty in Vietnam, failed at big business multiple times, and has run some of the most unconscionable smear campaigns in political history, often against noble and upstanding people who could not be smeared with anything factual. That didn't stop Dubya, oh no, he just made shit up and threw as much of it as he could, knowing something would stick eventually. The only reason this man has not been impeached for incompetence, lies, and big business related scandals is because he comes from an important family and a political party that controls the media and is exceedingly good at making sure people don't ever find out what its really like underneath the bible thumping, fag hating, women's rights denying coating.

This turned into a rant, but good god I'm so sick of people trying to defend the undefendable. If not outright evil, Bush is still bad for this country and I'd say electing him was a huge mistake in the first place, but we never did.
