Rasmussen: Three day - Three point negative bounce for Bush.
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 12:56 PM by MikeG
Bush was 3 points ahead. Now even.

I think the Bush campaign is imploding. IMHO.

23. Maybe I'm just missing it,
but where is the good news for Kerry? All I see are numbers up for Bush. Sorry, but is there a specific article or poll that I am missing?

4. I think the real problem is

They are giving speeches.

The Republicans would be better off to zip their lips and just play "God Bless the USA" for 4 consecutive days.

33. Bush's speech
What I wouldn't give for Bush's TelePrompter to break tomorrow night and let the American people see BoyGeorge winging it for an hour on his own. He would not be able to say a thing. I'm betting he'd pull out, "My Pet Goat" and read it to himself for an hour (moving his lips, of course).

Afterward Faux News, MSNBC and CNN would rave for another three hours on how insightful, commanding and inspiring Georgie was. The crowd would probably disrupt him at least 20 times in unmitigated joy at his wisdom.

The repugs and the undecideds need to get a dose of a candidate who is lost without his handlers. They got a seven minute preview on 9/11 but sounds like they need a reminder. I bet Rove has a TelePrompter plus 3-4 more backups on hand just in case. There really see this guy a leader of the world. He can't manage a cub scout troop, much less the USA. Geesh.

27. I haven't seen any network prime time coverage...
Course, I'm not really looking for it, but was wondering if the regular networks aren't covering all the Fundie idiocy, hypocrisy and pure evil in action, what good will it do our side ?

They are their own worst enemy, and if they were spewing in America's living rooms all night every night, it would, IMHO, result in a HUGE bounce for Kerry.

35. Three words...........Purple heart bandaids......Not just the bandaids but
the tone they represent. It's all about Kerry and why he is unfit to be president. No credible case is being made for Bush. This is a huge mistake on Rove's part, imo. I am not one to say that Kerry is a shoo in but I do think the Pubs are missing an opportunity to make the case for Bush (or maybe they can't make the case and they know it). Supposedly if we are to believe the media, it will be more of the same with crashcart and zigzag tonight. That will leave Bush to make his own case. (Why am I smiling?)

38. The REAL GOOD NEWS in this poll is the polling in the battleground ...
States.

Check it out:

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Presidential_Tracking_Poll.htm

"Kerry has a slight lead in the 16 battleground states (Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin, Arizona, Minnesota, Oregon, Iowa, Arkansas, Nevada, New Mexico, West Virginia, Maine, and New Hampshire)."

Agreed. The media is going to have to look at this poll - especially coming in the heart of the convention.

I still can't believe it. All 16 states.

Let's hope so!

I noticed on Monday they will have numbers that cover the main convention, then we will see what happens.

But this is good news anyhow, may this trend continue.

45. Yes, but Rassmussen Uses a Three-Day Tracking Poll
"The Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll is updated daily by noon Eastern and results are reported on a three-day rolling average basis. For today's report, just over one-third of the interviews were completed after the Monday night speeches by Senator McCain and Mayor Giuliani. Only a handful of the interviews were completed following last night's Convention speeches."

"The impact from the Republican National Convention will first be seen in results posted on Thursday and Friday of this week. Next Monday will be the first survey results based entirely upon data collected after the Convention has ended."
