Has anyone seen this dumb story? *****Biden in hot water with some Ohioans****
It's on the CNN ticker. Stupidest story I've seen in days and days and days. From the tenor of the comments, most people agree that this is a NON-story story.

Here's and excerpt and then the link:

(CNN) — Joe Biden's off-the-cuff remarks on the trail have at times taken the Obama campaign off-message, but the Delaware senator's latest riff just may have landed him in hot water with voters — and die hard football fans — in a key battleground state.

Speaking to members of the University of Delaware football team Friday morning, the Democratic VP candidate said he thinks the Fightin Blue Hens (1-1 this season) could thrash a certain team from Ohio.

"I was out in Ohio," he said while fiddling with a football in his hands. "I told the folks in Ohio that we'd kick Ohio State's ass!" (It remains unclear if Biden actually ever told Ohio voters this.)

3. Anyone who doesn't trash talk their opponents teams during
football season is a big, fat phony!!!! Trash talk is half the fun!!!!

On that note, some trash talk of my own for tomorrow:

Hey New Orleans fans, the Broncos are going to kick the Saint's ASS tomorrow!!! Bring it on!

6. I remember something...
...about the Republicans here in Wisconsin trying a similar tactic in '96, claiming that Clinton was a Cowboys fan or something. I don't think it had much effect.

Now, if the story was that he'd been a Bears fan...

9. As a Bidenite said, you'd have thought it was a slow news day to cover this
non-story. :eyes:

It's insulting to Ohioans.

13. Biden was right!
Ohio State is overrated (as usual), and Delaware is one of the better programs in 1-AA. They probably could beat OSU.

And if anyone has any doubts, I have two words: Appalachian State!
