Go Wes!
"Where was George Bush when young men from Arkansas and Texas and Massachusetts were called to serve their country and went to Vietnam?" Clark shouted as Kerry stood next to him before thousands gathered in a parking lot outside the Tacoma Dome. ''Where was George Bush? He wasn't there. I think it's outrageous that the president of the United States can question the medals and the service and the valor of American veterans who have served . . .

"We say to George Bush, enough is enough. You want to match early records of service? Throw it open to the public. Let's read about your efficiency reports. Let's read about that honorable discharge. Let's show it out there. Let something out. But if you want to talk about what the American people want to talk about, then let's talk about policies."

4. I was in the crowd and Wes Clark was shouting
these words with such genuine emotion and anger. It was powerful and the crowd went crazy!!

In the same speech, Wes also called bush "incompetent" at least three times!

We did not know that Wes Clark was going to be at the rally and when he was announced and came on stage, the crowd went wild. His speech was great!!

11. Oh, I wish I could have been there!!!
The ONLY candidate I have gotten close to is Shrub.

And that was while I was protesting him, when he did a quick fly thru Hawaii to raise big bucks.

14. It was an incredible rally!
After Wes Clark spoke, Jim Rassman (the man whom Kerry saved in Vietnam) also spoke with just as much anger toward bush and the swift boat vets. Kerry's speech was great--he is quite charismatic in person and I was amazed at how tall he is--he looked like a giant compared to Wes Clark and Jim Rassman (and they aren't short men!)

Overall, the rally was so energizing and hope-filled. I am still drawing on that energy to get me through this convention week and the frustration I feel at the media.

7. yeah
Yeah. As long as Kerry's military service is in the limelight no-one will be thinking about Bush's dishonorable one.

9. Is it true he is now on the road
with John Edwards?

Foreign policy, military issues, war on terror issues are all dominating the news.

And Wes is the best for those issues!

Go WES!!!

17. Isn't it Great How Kerry BONDED with the Contenders?
Each had something to offer that made me like them. I think Kerry was the best pick. (Sorry, other fans.) But rather than toss them aside when finished, the DNC is making them stronger, and I believe each will bring something important both to the campaign, and to the Kerry administration. I am so proud of him! :)

18. I think Wes really loves this country; I think he's a great surrogate...
on the vet/service issue. He could have sat back and earned millions on corporate boards, but he's, once again, fighting for our country. God bless him!
