Ahnuld had it backwards: bushco are the real economic girlie men, unwilling to stand up to their corporate masters who demand tax cuts even in the face of increased spending for their war.

Economic girlie men leave future generations with massive debts so that the current bushco financiers don't have to see their war profits dilluted by the taxes needed to pay for that war.

When it comes to hard economic choices, it's clear who the real 'girlie men' are.

1. Exactly. "Real men" are austere in times of crisis...
as in WWII. See samurai warriors, Spartans or any other number of examples. BTW, the term "Real Men" is really annoying because it implies that there is some magical level of toughness and resolve that only men can aspire to.

Hey Ahnold...real men don't need steroids. How do you like that? Moron.

2. And Girlie men debate sitting down

(Referring to the VP Debate where Cheney apparently wants to sit down)

I think the Kerry Campaign should take the "Girlie Men" bait and run with it.

4. I think we need to avoid repeating Arnold's sexist term. The SNL skit
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 02:39 PM by spooky3
was funny, but when it's applied out of context, the term can become really insulting. It gets ver-r-r-y close to insulting women (since there is no evidence that a randomly selected women would have behaved as Bush did), or to suggesting that the worst thing you could say about a man is that he has some feminine characteristics.

I'm sure you can think of racial parallels that you would find objectionable, so I won't spell them out here.
