Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 04:07 PM by GloriaSmith
The only 2 ways Bush could get my vote is by either building a time machine, travel back to 2000 and un do just about everything he has done the past four years, or I could just cast my vote via Black Box Voting and he can just steal it.

12. My response
There is nothing George Bush can do to win my vote. He has proven himself an immoral leader consumed by self-interest, willing to sacrifice the lives of brave American men and women and countless innocent Iraqis for his own enrichment and that of his business associates. He has not done a single thing in four years to help another human being, except to inflate the bank accounts of those already enjoying the privileges of obscene wealth. As a Christian and a moral absolutist, I see a vote for George W Bush as an evil act that would endanger my mortal soul. Nothing he can do can sway me from my beliefs, and therefore, there is nothing he can do to win my vote.

15. My response:
Realistically, the only thing that might cause me to vote for Bush would be a full frontal lobotomy.

Maybe if he was abducted by aliens, had about 70 points added to his IQ, and given a soul through some sort of advanced alien technology, I would consider it on the condition that he fully renounced all of his current policies and fired his entire administration.

In short, any possibility of my voting for Bush is pure fantasy.

Thank you.

21. My response:
There is nothing he can do to reverse the record he has already created in the past four years. There is nothing he can say that would restore his shattered credibility. There is nothing he can promise to do for his second term that I could now believe. The only way Bush could even slightly improve my opinion of him as a person would be for him to voluntarily resign with an accompanying apology to the nation.

22. Here's mine-
He'd have to transport himself back to 1968 and:
(1) Serve his time in the NG honorably
(2) Not traded on his family influence in his businesses (Arbusto, Harkin, etc).
(3) Not compromised himself taking Saudi money for business loans.
(4) Not screwed the people who lost their land to build Enron Stadium.
(5) Not stolen the 2000 election.
(6) Not disregarded the 8/6/01 PDB and allowed the 9/11 attacks to happen.
(7) Not rammed thru the Patriot Act which shredded our Constitution.
(8) Not lied about causus belli for invading Iraq
(9) Not outed Valerie Plame
(10) Not put up RW judicial activists that threaten our civil liberities.
(11) Not denounce the SBVT for lying about Kerry's record.

For the sake of brevity, I've left out about 300 other things that he'd need to correct....then I'd vote for him.

While I'm at it (and it's a waste of time), thanks for the distorted and biased coverage that you provide. You help to keep the boy-king clothed...barely.

24. Maybe if . . .
He resigned from the presidency, enlisted in the Army and put himself on the front lines in Iraq.

Nah, our troops over there have enough problems as it is.

Nothing, not even the threat of being forced to watch "Gigli" on a continuous reel, would make me vote for the smirking chimp. A vote for Dubya is also a vote for his cadre of hard-right idealogues who work in secrecy, subverting democracy and our system of checks and balances to ram their facist agenda down our throats while decrying any disagreement with their morally bankrupt policies as treason.

26. I sent this
Deep down, what you are asking is what would it take for me to completely sell out my morals. No amount of money, nor threats against my own life would cause me to vote for Bush. If I were taken hostage and told that I had to vote for Bush in order to spare the lives of those who have my undying loyalty – my daughter, my husband, and John Kerry – I would consider it. Barring that situation, it wouldn’t happen.

32. My response
For me to even CONSIDER voting for George W. Bush he would have to do the following.

1.) FIRE these people: Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleeza Rice, Paul Wolfowitz, oh hell, fire the entire cabinet.

2.) Recind the overtime pay take-away for working Americans and push for LIVING WAGE legislation.

3.) Get down on his knees and beg the forgiveness of the American people for his lies leading us to war with Iraq. Make sure the families of those killed and maimed in this illegitimate war get whatever they need to take care of their families for the rest of their lives.

4.) Get down on his knees and beg the forgiveness of all working Americans for the way they have been treated by this administration and the Reagan and Bush I administrations as well.

5.) Abandon any attempts to pass anti-gay marriage amendments, laws and other discriminitory measures.

6.) Abandon any attempts to incorporate religion into government and use government to regulate American's personal lives against their will.

If he did all this, would I vote for him. Hell, no, he's already blown it! He needs to be put on trial with the rest of his admin. for treason and crimes against humanity.
