I'm noticing that the atmosphere among all Democratic activists is shifting to one of ferocious anger.
I saw Big Dawg speaking in Pittsburg on Monday, and he looked furious. He held forth for 45 minutes, and there were times you could tell he was really angry. His most memorable line was: "There's one rule of politics I know for sure. When one side's telling you to think and the other side's telling you not to think, you can be sure the side that's telling you to think is the one you ought to vote for." He lambasted the Rs for pretending the only thing that matters is being "tough."
I'm seeing the anger in others as well. I think the long, long battles on DU yesterday were largely driven by the outrage all of us feel over what the Bush people have done to us and our candidate with their filthy, rotten gutter politics of lies and smears.
I was so pissed off by last night, I sent another $250 to the DNC. (My Mother always told me my temper would get me in hot water. :-) )
I'm mad as hell! And I'm not going to take Bush any longer!
