GOP Shuns Talking Contract With America

By ALAN FRAM, Associated Press Writer

"This convention is about the future. The contract is about the past," said former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., the driving force behind the contract, who said he agrees that it should be ignored

3. How many Republicans pledged to term limit themselves and then
didn't live up to their pledge? The whole purpose of the "Contract with America" was to show America Republicans keep their words. I would think this could be another talking point. We have so many to choose from and yet none are getting talked about.
