9. i canvassed last Sunday

and met 30+ voters. Every one was great except this one lady who's door was open. When we knocked on the screen and asked for the voter (a male) the woman says "Who are you?" I reply "We're with the Kerry campaign asking voters to fill out an early ballot request."

She screamed (YELLED i tell ya) "WE WONT BE VOING FOR KERRY" with a wild look in her eye. As I thanked her and turned away she LEAPT over the couch and ran to the door like I was Attilla the Hun attacking her home.

We had walked back down to the street before she reached the door thank heaven, but I tell you, she was MANIC paranoid :shrug:

while I was doing a non-partisan voter registration. He started frothing at the mouth and going on about how ALL vets hate that lying coward Kerry. So I am in a spot, 'cause I really shouldn't talk politics during these things, but the man is telling lies. So I thought for a minute and said, "well I know many vets who admire that he served." Which is true. He backed off at that point, but sad thing is I HAD to register him to vote. Good news, 4:1 dems to pugs overall that day, so his vote has been neutralized.

I reminded him that He might try to remember that Tim McVey was a Vet, and LH Oswald was a Vet, and both of them were human filth. I ended with the fact that I was a Vet and he wasn't so he should think before he questions me.
