Obama has played his hand masterfully by showing true leadership
Even ending his statement at 5PM ET, in time for the talking heads!

2. And that was leadership. People should start asking, "where's McCain"?

3. I was listening to Kuttner on Thom Hartmann's show yesterday
and Kuttner says that once Obama chucked his post-partisan bull puckey, which did not help him rally his base or win over undecided voters, and became more passionate about the issues, he hit his campaign stride and along with his unflappable nature, he is excelling in this time of crisis.

The Chinese word for crisis is "opportunity" + "danger". Obama has the former and McCain took the latter.

As one who as the audacity of cynicism with Obama, I've been very happy with his campaign performance lately. When Obama is passionate and on the offensive, he LOOKS like a STRONG LEADER. Obama will not win over the hard core racists, but the soft racists, the ones who cheer on black athletes but don't like black political leaders will more likely change their minds and vote for him when he keeps LOOKING like a LEADER and not like a wimp, like Kerry did in 2004.
