What If KERRY Gets a Bump Out Of the REPUBLICAN National Convention?
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 08:51 PM by The Nation
What if the swing voters are so disgusted after this 4 day long hate fest that KERRY is the one who gets the bounce out of the REPUBLICAN convention?

Has that ever happened before, the opposing party getting a bump out of the other party's convention?

I think it would be sooooo great if this happened, I hate to think that ANYONE will be fooled or make up their minds to vote for bush after this damn 4 day lie fest! :grr:

4. I haven't watched any of it but
so far it doesn't seem like they have said anything of substance. What can they do besides try to take someone down. They have little to offer and what they do is not popular. Healthcare savings accounts? Who can that help if you don't have a job or make enough to pay the high deductibles? Fear, Fear. Well then they haven't made anyone safe have they? No gay marriages. When you don't have a job and no help is on the way does one really care even if they don't want gays to marry? It just isn't up there with a paycheck to put food on the table. I can't see the public buying any of this convention or even bothering to watch. So maybe they will go down instead of a bounce.

5. I was heartened by some swing voters on the news who said they hate
negative campaigns. Kerry ROCKS in this regard!! And you that whistleass stinks on ice...

7. They will manipulate the polls to present the appearance they want
but Kerry probably will gain momentum this week. So far, no second term agenda from the Republicans... it's not in the platform... Bush certainly is not up to the task of outlining one in his speech... all they've said is 'Remember 9/11' and they're not going to get elected on that...

8. Sounds Possible
I know a few people who have historically voted Republican that have nagging doubts about George Bush. I have noticed they are desperate to find good points about him, but just can't overcome their nagging doubts. They are embarrassed to be Republican right now, and they seem to be at their wits end. If the convention can't deliver fresh, new reasons for these people to feel good about saying they are Republican, I can imagine they will give up hope and flee the party. They'll be thinking, "if the convention can't resolve my doubts, nothing will." And from what I've heard of the convention so far, the message is the same old crap that even Republicans have a hard time swallowing. The country is safer... the war is justified... :puke: ... republicans have minds too and they aren't buying the bullshit.

9. I believe Poppy lost ground in 92 but I could be wrong. It might not have
been right away. Pat Buchanan's speech definately scared off a lot of voters, though.

10. What's up with the msnbc.com online poll?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5822356/

Check bottom of page. Bush 55% Kerry 43%. For many months it's consistently been Kerry at least 60-65% to Shrub 30%. Now, suddenly Bush takes the lead for the first time?

Why? Because only repukes are reading RNC articles or are freepers going bonkers freeping the poll?

Are did America suddenly realize it's got to be four more years?
