Major site update - criticism/help is appreciated
OK, I'm in the middle of a major site update. Let me throw in a disclaimer here, right up front. I pay for this site, and receive no money in return. I had some fun bashing Bush for the past year, but now it's time to see if I can swing some votes away from the dark side.

What I would like people to see when they open the home page, from now on, is a page full of links to stories by nationally recognized and respected people (and journalists...they may not be "respected people", I'm not sure) who's opinions might influence swing voters that maybe, just maybe, it's worth taking a deeper look at where Bush is leading us and/or where Kerry wants to lead us. I'm going to change the format, the color scheme, everything. (There's a link to the original site at the bottom.)

As a result, I'm going to be looking for the very best op-eds and articles that fit the above description, and short (~a paragraph) descriptions of the articles and/or the authors for swing voters to read.

An example might be Walter Cronkite's piece about how the Bush-run executive branch is the most secretive since Nixon's. Another that I already have saved is Rood's piece in the Chicago paper about what really happened that day on the river in Viet Nam. Other ideas would be a statement from a general or admiral about why Kerry is a good choice to lead us out of the Iraqi qWagmire, an economist talking about why Kerry's ideas are a better way to lead us out of the massive job losses...you get the drift. A big find, IMO, would be credible testimony by a credible source that Bush will surely lead us into more wars and/or force us into reinstating the draft. This would be a BIG issue with any swing voter's with kids around draft age.

I'm only looking for 10 or 12 articles, tops. I don't want anyone to think there's too much there to read. If any of you have suggestions for articles that should be included, please feel free to post them. That short descriptor would help, too.

I know, I don't post here often enough to expect any help, but if any of you are interested, I'll appreciate it.

TIA

"Tim"
