CNN just said that the Republicans are not listening to Bush
because his approval ratings are so low and they are not listening to John McCain because he has nothing to offer. Then who the fuck are they listening to? They have never listened to the American people. I think they are going to listen to Obama. The Republican party is about to fracture big time. :dem:

4. They're gonna have to listen to Obama or Barney Frank/Chris Dodd
Nobody else is putting forth any ideas. And you know the repubs have no plan beyond taking the taxpayers money and giving it to the wealthy.

8. McCain will follow the lead of GOP house and senate leaders
If they want to oppose the bailout, he's going along. He's a follower in economic matters, not a leader.

Bush has no votes he can move.

The GOP is a headless horseman.

11. Republicans up for re-election are best served if they stonewall.
They need to throw their own hail-mary's, and are likely to not support any deal, so they can run against it - whatever it is. It's the only shot they've got.
