Talking about Bush's speach last night and the fact that no one on Capital Hill paid any attention to Bush all of the pundits were commenting on how out of it Bush seemed to be.

Begalla lets out "Well Bush is a high functioning Moron" and none of the pundits argued with him but went on to pile on Bush.

4. Here's the thing - I can remember plenty of occasions from years ago

when I still watched CNN when I heard Paul Begala speak in glowing terms of bush "He's a great guy but I just disagree with him". Consequently I have no respect for him or his opinions. It doesn't take any guts to beat up on bush mow that he's been revealed for the loser he always was - it did take guts five years ago when all the repubs were kissing his ass. Begala didn't have the guts and he still doesn't.

Un-Fucking-Believable. HUGELY illuminating. I mean, even Ed Rollins, who's kinda posturing in the last few years as though he's above most of it, would have been expected to jump in and knock that insult down. Probably would have done it in a gentlemanly way, but he would have felt compelled to stand up for bush. Or Gloria Borger maybe, or some smarm from Anderson Cooper about being fair about both sides. But no! Nothing. Not a word.

What does THAT tell you?

That big-ass think tank that's supposed to be part of the bush library is going to have a crushingly hard uphill slog trying to rehabilitate this schmuck. Worthless waste of skin.
