The (ongoing) fuzzy math of Theresa LePore
This immediately struck me as odd last night, and I should have mentioned it during the updated returns on the LePore/Anderson race.

Throughout the night, the official Palm Beach County election result website listed 37,839 absentee ballots among the count. But as Anderson overtook LePore and looked like the winner, a concerned DUer asked about the number of absentee ballots and whether they had been counted, posting a link to Greg Palast's website. His article on "Madame Butterfly" LePore http://www.gregpalast.com/ included this sentence, "Although 37,000 citizens have requested absentee ballots, she (LePore) says she'd only received 22,000 when she began the count."

How could a trained and experienced elections supervisor keep counting to 37,839, and list that as the official number, when she knew only 37,000 absentee ballots had been REQUESTED in the first place?

2. So she counts the votes at her own election?
Is there a conflict of interest here?

3. They are recounting the ballots
Or at least they were supposed to before the hurricane hit.
Apparently, they ended up counting 6,000 extra ballots which they don't physically have.
Amazing, isn' it?

4. Does this mean that Art Anderson might not be
the winner?

5. I have no clue what they will come up with in the end
but as of now, they have 6,000 extra absentee votes that this woman counted out of thin air.

6. Thanks!
"The winners and losers of Tuesday's elections are not expected to be affected by the re-count.

Cohen said he didn't think any extra votes went in to actually race tallies but somehow the total number of absentee ballots cast was miscaculated."

7. He won by roughly 6000
So how can 6000 fewer votes change anything? I guess the only potential answer is the locale.

9. I guess their recount is complete.
They have come up with a new number, but Anderson still won.
LOL.
This woman is a menace to elections.

10. Gee, just a minor 1502 vote mistake
Or nearly 3 times the margin from 2000
