Two things: 1.) I live in Bush Country but Obama signs > McCain signs 2:1
and 2.) My wife just got back from Ann Arbor and she said there's so many Obama signs and bumper stickers there that it is "out of control".

1. We have none here.
Apparently, if you can't afford to buy them, it's hard to get them.

3. Around here they seem to think size matters

The few GOP signs I see are HUGE, if totally outnumbered. Almost all are planted on huge tracts of land out in the country. Very few Mc Cain signs though, even the jerks who have plastered the GOP signs for everything from gov to dogcatcher have, by and large, shunned McCain.

There are more Ron Paul signs here (and they are BIGGER still, hahah!) then there are McCain.

And more Obama than all of those sad (but obviously wealthy) people combined.

4. See the same thing in ultra Republican IL-10, and evenly split IL-9
I ride my road bike through those two districts on the weekends and I see the same thing. Far more Obama signs than McCain signs.

I think its because Republicans are embarrassed that McCain is the best they can do.

I know I'm still in Republican land because I see a bunch of Kirk for Congress signs in IL-10. Dan Seals, running against him has a good showing, his signs are often on the same lawns of Obama signs. But I rarely see Kirk and McCain signs on the same lawn.

5. I see more Republican signs for the local candidates but none for McCain.
It's like the GOP presence here has decided to focus on the local races and have given up on the Presidential one.
