Please talk me down: How Bush and Cheney and all their cohorts can walk away scott free.
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 03:36 PM by IanDB1
Step 1: Bush pardons everyone, including Dick Cheney on January 18, 2009.
Step 2: Bush resigns January 19, 2009.
Step 3: pResident Cheney pardons former pResident George W. Bush.

Please tell me I am wrong, and that this is impossible.

1. It's entirely possible and entirely legal
so it definitely could happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if it did, but the pardons need to be fairly specific and would be taken as an admission of guilt if carried out as you describe.

4. Which might then be the only reson he might NOT pardon people.
If he doesn't pardon them, then they'd better defend him, or he'll take them down with him.

6. In the pro-torture Infomercial "24" on Fox they pre-emptively pardon people all the time.
Are you telling me that television is NOT like in the real world?
