From the Wonderful Folks Who Brought You Abu Ghraib
Tonight's speeches don't appear to have factored in New York's emphatically pacifist response to Bush's warmongering after September 11th. The August 29th march actually changed history, making Republican foreign policy seem bloodthirsty.

Zell Miller himself was puzzled by the so-so response he got. Thinking he gave the speech of his life, he was offended when members of the press asked sharp questions about it. Cheney, who's never been popular, made himself even more unpopular with people who've come to distrust the administration's heavy-handedness. To nearly everyone's horror, Cheney kept repeating Bomb them till they submit.

The convention is a flop, alternating between being boring and being frightening. Look for Kerry, not Bush, to get a bump from it.

1. I'm boycotting the convention.
Did Cheney really say "Bomb them till they submit?"

5. No
He didn't say that directly. However, in my opinion, he implied it.

4. Zell's been insulated by
the Republicons. He's confused and befuddled at the reaction...and real questions he's being asked. Republicons gave him a false sense of security. Typical of them.
