Bush Convention Appearance Marked By Anti-Gay Performances
New York City) George W. Bush tonight will accept the GOP nomination for a second term in a speech that follows two men closely associated with homophobic groups.

Donnie McClurkin will sing the national anthem. McClurkin has accused gays of “trying to kill our children” and has called homosexuality “a curse”. The gospel singer who says he is a "reformed homosexual" in a 700 Club interview said he was ready to declare war on homosexuality.

"The gloves are off," he says. "And if there’s going to be a war, there’s going to be a war. But it will be a war with a purpose."

McClurkin, frequently called a poster boy for the so-called ex-gay movement, will be followed by Michigan minister Bishop Keith Butler who will give the prayer at the convention.

1. Hate & Fear
Fear & Hate...how pathetic...

Have the Log Cabin Repubs announced what they will do this election?

If they stay with Bush, they are nuts!

3. They will make their decision next week
I think that decision will be not to support Bush but just stay home & not vote.

2. Wonder what he'll sing?
I once was gay
Then found the way
So anyone who is homosexual should be shot

or something like that....

5. And mary Cheney wasn't on stage with her family last night
I think that was very indicative of the GOP.

7. "And if there’s going to be a war, there’s going to be a war."
These people kill me.
Love is bad
War is good

It's them ol' Christian values at work again. Christ should make his second coming now and kick these people's asses.

*note: this is not a slam on Christianity, just the people who have decided to change Jesus' teachings to fit their hate and anger filled minds.

12. "Christ should make his second coming now and kick these people's asses."
One day, He will do exactly that....

From Matthew 25

The Sheep and the Goats

"When he finally arrives, blazing in beauty and all his angels with him, the Son of Man will take his place on his glorious throne. Then all the nations will be arranged before him and he will sort the people out, much as a shepherd sorts out sheep and goats,
putting sheep to his right and goats to his left.

Then the King will say to those on his right, "Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what's coming to you in this kingdom. It's been ready for you since the world's foundation. And here's why:

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.'

"Then those "sheep' are going to say, "Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?' Then the King will say, "I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me--you did it to me.'

"Then he will turn to the "goats,' the ones on his left, and say, "Get out, worthless goats! You're good for nothing but the fires of hell. And why? Because--

I was hungry and you gave me no meal,
I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
I was homeless and you gave me no bed,
I was shivering and you gave me no clothes,
Sick and in prison, and you never visited.'

"Then those "goats' are going to say, "Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or homeless or shivering or sick or in prison and didn't help?'
"He will answer them, "I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you failed to do one of these things to someone who was being overlooked or ignored, that was me--you failed to do it to me.'
"Then those "goats' will be herded to their eternal doom, but the "sheep' to their eternal reward."

So next time a Freep gives you shit, remind them that Jesus told them to "Get out, worthless goats! You're good for nothing but the fires of hell."

8. And after Santorum last night....
Good God, it's the Republican Houston Convention in 1992 all over again. I still can't believe they're making the same stupid mistakes.

11. Fear and Hate--pure Republican electoral currency
There was another regime used Fear and Hate as currency to seize power in Germany in the 1930's as I recall.
