So - the Media Coverage - What do you think?
They've finally started calling the Repuglicans on some things... FINALLY! Thank goodness. What's your take on media coverage of the Madison Square Garden Hatriotism Festival?

1. I still think it sucks...all the love and admiration
all week and toward the end they are sticking it to them slightly..I had to go to bed and ignore this shit for one night...it was pointless to watch...

I am not impressed with the media coverage at all...

3. It is a right wing love fest - the media is part of Bush's campaign!
Buoyantly optimistic, President Bush arrived here last night eager to begin the final stage of a campaign that he hopes will be the capstone of a remarkable political career.

The media is working for the Bush campaign!

5. The media's laziness will show tonight
Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 07:18 AM by Feeney2
High job loss, more families in poverty, higher health costs, more people without health care, bin Laden still loose, war lords and terrorists (Abdul Rasul Sayyaf, right hand man for 9-11 mastermind Shaikh Mohammed) running Afghanistan, Taliban reviving, thousands died in Iraq, the illegal war, cities dumping No Child Left Behind because of lack of funds and policy of no direction, and terrorism around the world increasing. This is the true Bush doctrine that has crushed this country the past 4 years. What can Bush possibly say that is positive tonight and will the media take anything to task for what he surely will not speak about tonight?

6. Osama Bin Laden
I am hoping the media will finally notice that noone, and I mean not a single speaker has mentioned OBL's name.

Terra, terra, Saddam, Saddam, terra... and no word of Bin Laden yet.

I am hoping too that they will finally tell the RNC for what it really is - a Kerry hate fest.

7. NBC/MSNBC went back to full whoring last night
Tweety had JC Watts, Scorborough, a guy from Newsweek (actually mentioned PNAC) , Greenspan's wife Andrea Mitchell, Buchanan, and Laura Ingram (sp?).

Borkaw and Russert were talking about how Georgians just do "whatever is good enough for good ole Zell".

9. Every once in awhile they say something right
kind of like a broken clock twice a day.

But all in all, the media coverage is so embarrassing that my husband and I have decided to sell our newspaper and get out of the business. We just cannot stand to be a part of what passes for journalism these days.
