Daily Show "W - Because He Says So" video clip
Here's the middle segment from last night's 'The Daily Show'. It skewers Bush's 3 1/2 years of posturing.

Windows Media format; 5.2MB, 4 1/2 minutes

Right-click, and "Save as...", and prepare to smile.

3. A good, related article at Salon.com...
"The truth isn't out there"
From Dick Cheney on down, the Republican convention's speakers haven't let the facts get in the way of their partisan ferocity.

11. I wish Jon were in charge of the Kerry campaign
With this little clip, it reminds everyone (hell even I've forgotten a lot of this stuff) about what Smirk is really about.....a ghastly, deluded, bible-thumping idiot, with a clue as to how to be CiC.

we have war is peace
danger is safety
up is down
and now
fake news is real while real news is fake

it's enough to have my hair screaming "stop the head I wanna get off!"

18. It was a great segment.
Here in Ohio, they have been running the previous day's Daily Show each evening AFTER the current day's show. I'm hoping that they do so again tonight so I can record a copy of the "W - Because he says so" segment. It is definitely a classic!

19. Too bad Kerry doesn't run some ads as good as the Daily Show's bits
They should have Stewart's team make some ads for Kerry or some pro-Kerry group.

21. The first 30 secs of that clip would be perfect ad
I'm one of the ones who gets impatient about all the gloom-and-doom, but I must say that a dose of Jon Stewart/Micheal Moore's exquisite satire using Bush's own clips would be a devastating blow.

I'm hoping there's something like this in the works. It's pretty early for it yet, would be best in the last 2-3 weeks.

29. Ah, wonderful...
This brought a gleam of joy to my eye, and proves once again that Democrats can consistently use humor to make a point...Republicans have trouble laughing, not just at others, but most importantly at THEMSELVES. If you can't laugh at yourself, then you're clearly too self-righteous.
