What a fricking mess...Time for me to move....

Man. Glad to be back here. Been out of the country for a while.
I have a rant here: It's time for Kerry to fire all his campaign advisors. Who are these people anyway? 7 yrs olds kids, 8 y/o? Sheesh...
I mean it was a stupid idea to bring Kerry's short Vietnam tour up in this election. It serves no purpose and very counter-productive. Some of you might not agree with me, but that's what I think, and because of this there are other issues popping up:
1. The questionable Purple Heart issue.
2. Swift Boat issue/ads.
I believe these two issues lead people to believe the integrity nature of Kerry, and this is the heart of the campaign...And it doesn't look good.

I'm having up to here with all these craps.
If we lose this election, and the trend indicates so (although anything is possible), I'm thinking moving to a hill somewhere, away from civilization with couple of my guns to protect myself, a .22 and a .38. Sure, I have guns; who are going to protect me out there?
Man, this is such a downer post.

5. Short Vietnam tour?
Kerry was in country for two years. He was a swift boat captain for four months out of that time. During that stint, he was wounded three times, while under fire pulled one of his men out of the river who had been blown overboard, and received the highest recommendation and praise from his commanding officers.

Welcome back Durango4moi, but please wait to make further posts until you're a little more up to speed on current and past events.

7. The Repubs would be telling lies about
ANY Dem candidate. That's what they do.

It's great that they are attacking Kerry's service in Vietnam. My husband is much angrier that the Rethugs are going after Kerry's military record than he was when they went after Clinton's sex life or any of the made-up stuff about Gore.

8. Those attacks didn't materialize instantly
They were planned well in advance of Kerry's convention. They did not attack his service and anti-war activities becuase of anything that the campaign has done, that was already in the cards.

The democrats nominated Kerry, a famous anti-war protester from 71. Its controversial, no other way to put it. But I do not think a high percentage of Americans are deciding who to vote for based on that. In fact Kerry is still even in many polls, which suggests we are beyond that issue already.

9. I like that Kerry has taken the high road. He'll beat bush on the issues,
on vision, on plans, on substance, on everything that matters. Kerry is restoring honor and dignity to the electoral process--imagine what he can do once he's in the WH!

I mean it was a stupid idea to bring Kerry's short Vietnam tour up in this election

Your post is proof it was a good idea...people need the facts. You dont have them.

This didn't just "pop up" - these guys have been after Kerry for 30 years!!! Nothing new...

14. maybe kerry was right to bring up his credibility under fire
On the flip side, it was wise for Mr. Kerry to debunk by example
the myth that the AWOL administration has been good for security.
They have done nothing but spread terrorism, and Kerry is stepping
up to the plate to take them down with the core lie of their
claim on power... that they are defending anything except their own
corporate backers. Certainly, the mountain of coffins arriving from
iraq begs explanation given the lies.

NO matter what point of attack kerry takes, they are going to defame
him and lie. That is a given. The question is what point of attack,
doggedly stuck to, most contrasts the ineptitude of the GOP liars,
to the true heroism and wisdom of a real leader. That they have
attacked him given bush's own cowardly performances during war time,
leaves them open to the followup assaults that will land in the
mass media in coming weeks.

The pukes defame and break people down. That is all they do in
person or in government. Whatever kerry says, they will foam at
the mouth and show off the rabies. It is time to back our man, and
stand fast. Kerry is the riteous dude. Give him good kudos for
taking the punch and continuing his fight for a strong america.

15. Has Bush accounted for the missing 18 months in his NG record?
The Swift Liers have already been debunked. No one believes their lies that wasn't already voting for Bush anyway. I'm more interested in forcing Bush to fill in the blanks in his record.

Man, this is such a downer post."

Downer is right. I've had the same thoughts recently. A .22 and a .38 ? That's all? You sound like a cousin of mine, that's all the guy owns. Of course he's a wingut, and the only reason he doesn't have a M-64 or whatever is that he's paranoid of the neocons keeping track of him. Good for a laugh.

Whatever little imbroglio BushCo has planned for us once they steal the next one, I think both you and he will be outgunned. That's my fear. Hope they run out of bullets long before we lose heart.
