Zell Hate-talk Overshadowing Cheney =* Must Hit A HR To Salvage RNC

THIS should be on the lips of every Dem making the talk show rounds today. The RNC has been a total failure. It has gotten worse every night, not better. What should have been a crescendo of inspiration and hope leading up to *'s speech tonight has instead devolved into an angry and mean-spirit hate-fest.

Rather than giving * a lift for his speech, the speakers at the RNC have had the opposite effect of putting * into a high-pressure situation where everything is riding on this one speech. The problem is simple: if he continues on the road of hate paved by the first 3 nights of the RNC, he is doomed. But if he reverses course and goes entirely positive, he puts the lie to everything that came earlier.

Dem spokespeople need to raise the expectations for * tonight so he can crash and burn in a suitable manner.

4. The RNC Convention has been a disaster for them

Arnold: invoking Richard Nixon as some kind of hero (especially those of us who were of voting age then know much, much better)

Bush Twins: vapid, empty-headed attempt to draw in the young voters. They are a joke and embarassment. Especially when compared to the Kerry/Edwards siblings.

Laura Bush: has that Nancy Reagan look on her face when talking about GWB (not admirable, imo)

Zell Miller: wants to take this country back to before the Civil Rights Act was passed

Cheney: miserable, cranky, chicken-hawk, thief, failure, fear mongerer

claimed the DNC was nothing but bush bashing...no vision...no plans for the future while the RNC was going to be all about the next 4 years and bushs plans. Well as usual with any republican you have assume the exact opposite of what their saying will in fact be the truth. bush will bash Kerry...thats all he can do. He cannot talk about the last 4 years and he has no vision other than war for the next 4 years.
