The Obvious Pattern
So Bush will be making his big acceptance speech soon. And guess what, I'll bet it is very positive and upbeat and doesn't mention Kerry at all, not even indirectly.

Because this is the Bush campaign pattern: you let others go out and sling mud while you stay above it all. You are positive, optimistic, sweetness and light, while all the dirty work is done by surrogates. In fact, you come across as the voice of reason and moderation in your own party. You are the key component which reigns in the more honest and direct, but less diplomatic and productive, passions of your faction. And while your opponent gets dragged into petty squabbles with your surrogates, you are the voice of reason and wisdom standing above the fray.
