Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 02:20 PM by jackstraw45
ON CAMERA.

He should be at Pier 57

http://www.actupny.org/reports/rnc_nyc.html#update

Click see quicktime movie to see Taylor Bickford push a protester to the ground and KICK her.

This man should be ARRESTED NOW and in Pier 57 and charged with assault.

CALL the NYPD, Manhattan DA and Mayor Bloomberg and ask why Taylor Bickford has not been charged with ASSAULT!!!

NYPD: 212-266-1212 or 646-610-5000

Mayor Bloombergs office - 212-788-7418

Manhattan DA - 212-335-9000

Tell them you witnessed an ASSAULT on television. Tell them that Channel 7 in New York has the footage on their website and identifies and INTERVIEWS the suspect.

Taylor Bickford IS the name of a page from Alaska for the RNC:

The 2004 Republican National Convention today announced the selection of more than 155 youth from across the nation to serve in the Page Program at this year's convention in New York City.

3. I wonder if anything will happen to him.
We've got to spread the word on this. So many non-violent protesters have been arrested for speaking their mind while this young republican "gentleman" assaults a 100lb woman!

There is a previous post with the contact info of Senator Murkowsk who he is an intern for in Alaska! Lets take care of this. That young woman deserves justice but she's probably the one in jail!

Life As A Republican National Convention Volunteer - Part 2

...

The NYC host committee is, I believe, a creation of the Republican party meant to handle the convention on a local level. Monster.com is then contracted by the host committee to do all the webwork and paperwork. The staffers I dealt with that Saturday morning were neither Host committee or Monster, but from a different agency entirely. They were NYC municipal tourist bureau workers, local government, not specifically Republican-affiliated at all.

The woman who explained this to me said it was a necessity for them to take an active role as this is the biggest convention to ever hit New York. I half-jokingly asked why sci-fi conventions with potentially larger attendance numbers don’t get such special greetment from the city. She said it was the political and economic significance that mattered. I told her that Star Trek VI was a very politically significant movie, but she mistook it for the one with the whales.

Point is, New York taxpayer dollars are making the Republican convention happen, and probably even paying for my nice new Monster.com t-shirt. Did we vote for this shit? It’s simply not fair unless volunteer-herders are provided for all major conventions in New York. Where are my Klingon interpreters? I want an order of Gagh now!

Somewhere along the line between Monster.com and the NYC tourist bureau, many ID cards were lost. The official response?

“It’s not that easy to get those t-shirts, they’ll identify you to security.”

....

Monster Worldwide Named Primary Recruiter For RNC

The New York City Host Committee has selected Monster as the primary recruiter for the more than 8,000 volunteers needed at the 2004 Republican National Convention. The GOP convention is the first ever to take place in New York City and will occur between August 30 and September 2 at Madison Square Garden.

The company will establish a Monster-sponsored Web site (http://nyc2004.monster.com) to serve as an online community for the volunteers by keeping them informed and connected throughout the sixteen days of their engagement from August 18th to September 3rd. The New York City Host Committee plans to use the site to streamline its communication with its large volunteer staff and more efficiently instruct, inform and mobilize them with schedule updates and other ongoing notifications.

HOST COMMITTEE LAUNCHES NEW ONLINE COMMUNITY
- Exclusive Site to Help Volunteers Connect and Serve as One-Stop Training Resource-

NYC 2004 Host Committee Assistant Director of Operations Neil Giacobbi announced today that the Host Committee has launched a first-of-its-kind online volunteer community (nyc2004.monster.com) for the Republican National Convention.

Designed by Monster®, the leading global online careers site and the flagship brand of New York-based Monster Worldwide, the site allows screened volunteers to become actively engaged with planning for the Convention and a forum to exchange ideas and recount their personal Convention experiences.

“Through our website and volunteer application, the Host Committee has provided thousands of people from across the country with a way to be a part of the best of New York City and to connect and be a part the Republican National Convention,” said NYC 2004 Host Committee Assistant Director of Operations Neil Giacobbi. “Monster developed the sophisticated and unique technology for attracting and processing Convention volunteers and they have now created an innovative tool for the Host Committee to utilize the skills and enhance the experience of every volunteer.”

44. IANAL, but I think prosecutor can press anyway. They usually don't.
I am not a lawyer, but I think the prosecutor can press charges even if the victim is uncooperative. It is only rarely done. If it is on video tape, then it is witnessed.

Think about murder cases with no witnesses. Charges can and are pressed. No victim, no witness to the act, but murderers are convicted in a court of law by a jury of peers based on evidence.

If he had courage he would enlist. But he is a republican.
Fighting wars is for the poor people.

And, should he find himself there by accident somehow, we would
still see his face on TV... at Abu Ghraib, practicing his
"family values".

21. I don't think his name is Bickford
The cameraman just interviewed someone prior to this and his name was Bickford, they probably just left the title on the screen or accidentally pulled it back up by mistake.

Not that this information diminishes the sordid life of the real Bickford.
