Safe bet: McCain is about to use every nasty trick in the book. He's desperate
He already has ads out that call Obama a crooked Chicago style pol. He's already using thinly veiled racism. The next month will see McCain flailing around and throwing the kitchen sink at Obama. He'll appeal to racists and xenophobes. He'll continue with the Obama as crook/unpatriotic/other crap. repuke 527s will pile on.

Only problem: It won't work, and may well hurt McIdiot. Obama will continue running rings around him.

2. McLoser has an insurmountable problem - his base has shrunk, Obama's has grown,
and if he does throw every nasty trick in the book, it will cement the moderates and independents for Obama.

I smell a huge victory in a few weeks.

3. I am thinking he may really snap and call Obama a .........
Their beast shot at winning is race hatred. If they get desperate enough, they may just let it blow.

4. Obama needs to stay on the offensive!
When McCain is on the defensive, he can't handle it. When McCain is feeling Obama's attack, he says strange things in interviews, he looks horrible, and he sounds angry. Obama cannot relax or slow down the attacks on McCain. Politics is a brutal fight - when your opponent looks weak, it's not time to be nice, it's time to finish him off.

McCain looks weak right now. Time for Obama to destroy him!

5. He may be desperate, but lucky for us, he's also incompetent.
His campaign has committed more "unforced errors" than any in recent history.

All Obama has to do is stand back and let McLame shoot himself in the foot.

7. He's been desperate for a while now.
The Palin choice was desperate. So was his stupid dramatics over the bailout bill.

I hope he keeps acting with desperation. Just more nails in his and Palin's joint coffin and more likelihood that the Republican Party will be in decline for a couple of decades or more.

8. I hope Obama's people
have some really brutal, slanderous ads of their own held in reserve just in case McCain decides to pull out all the stops.

14. It will only backfire
The more nasty he gets the more votes he will lose. Everything he does now is seen as desperate and backfires on him. The only way he could get more votes would be to run a decent, honest campaign, but it's too late for that. Everyone has seen McCain's true character.

His train has jumped the tracks and there's nothing he can do to get in back on the tracks.

The straight talk express is a runaway train.
