Usually I find Shaw's Reading the Pictures column to be shallow and pointless. But, damn, this one is hilarious. Poor McCain just can't hide his discomfort from sharing the interview with such a loathsome moron.

3. It's so totally awkward to watch the two of them together. Just cringe-inducing.

He can't stop playing with his fingers and making weird faces. He has NO confidence in her at all, besides her ability to draw a crowd and charm them with her hockey-mom/Alaska stories. That's all he wants her for--her popularity (he keeps referring to it in interviews, in fact). He doesn't need or want her to help him govern, at all. This ticket remains a joke, as much as the day it was announced.
