PPP Florida - Obama 49 (+4), McCain 46 (-4)
64% say the economy is the most important, and they go to Obama 55-40.

Obama has opened up an eight point lead among indies

John McCain's lead among white voters fell 16 points to 11 points.

7. I trust PPP. They had Obama down five last week so I dont think they are biased in their polls.
Also, their NC polls are usually backed up by what their republican counterpart in NC says

I wonder if the old folks on the Gold Coast are coming around.

Before some denounce this It should be noted both Mason Dixon Poll, and ARG(hardly the most reliable
pollster I know) have Obama ahead In Florida as well.Even RAS has It tied In Florida.

Nate over at 538 has Florida for Obama now.

The economy as well as Palin may have cost Mccain Florida.Especilly with all the time and Money
Obama Is spending to register and get people out voting.

12. The Obama campaign is NOT stupid - unlike the McStunt team.
When they invest so much money in Florida, it is definiately winnable. I completely trust Obama's campaign.

13. Obama's even further ahead today, after the bailout debacle.
McCain was permanently damaged by his stupid stunts over the bailout. Florida retirees will punish him severely for that.

McCain can't win without Floricda or Virginia and both states are moving to Obama.

22. Big Jewish population in FL
The Christian thing can cut both ways.

Christians buddy up to Jews when they need them, but "fundamentally" the more fundamentalist Christians have a deep-seeded antipathy towards Jews. Never mind the idea that Jesus himself was a Jew. The Fundies often regard Jews as "incomplete Christians".

I assume just about every Jew is sensitive to this, and they probably have an internal radar that goes off whenever they see Christians who are a bit "too Christian for their own good", so to speak.

28. Yeah, a bad poll with a +3 lead or something.
I'll wait for more polls to give Obama the edge. I think he's closing in on FL, but I'll wait to get my hopes up of a lead.

Wouldn't even need North Carolina, though I suspect if Florida goes for Obama, NC won't be far behind.
