Any CREDIBLE links to Cheney almost getting assaulted?
Somebody dropped me this from that insipid rag NYBoast...

Also yesterday, authorities revealed details of how a Bush-hating Yale student wrestled with Secret Service agents and tried to get close to Vice President Dick Cheney Monday night at Madison Square Garden before being charged with assault.

Thomas Frampton, 21, a straight-A student and son of a prominent attorney, allegedly approached and spewed anti-war messages at Cheney after dressing up as a GOP supporter and using false credentials to get into the Garden, officials said.

Frampton, who was released on $50,000 bail, is a prominent Yale activist who has been arrested in the past, a prosecutor said.

He gained notoriety when he was among a group of Yale students who filed charges demanding the university president be fired over his handling of a labor situation at the school.

3. Protester at Cheney Speech?
Can anyone confirm or deny the protester removed last night during Cheney's speech? I was watching CSPAN is their cameras tracked a woman yelling, and being escorted from the floor by security types (Service?) She was wearing a pink dress, so I assumed Code Pink. Didn't see any mention in the papers this morning.

Nothing about that story makes sense.

How can you get arrested for assault for yelling at someone from a distance? How do you "dress up like a GOP supporter", by sporting a purple heart band-aid? False credentials, such as what? When I went to the DNC, the credentials were anonymous, you didn't need to show any id to prove who you were anywhere, you just needed to have a credential. Is it illegal to be anti-Bush and show up at the RNC?

There were some disruptions, one was a Pink Coder, but no one was going to physically assualt him.

"...after dressing up as a GOP supporter "
