(CNSNews.com) - "Grumpy old men," said a Kerry campaign spokeswoman, referring to Wednesday night's speeches by Vice President Dick Cheney and Sen. Zell Miller at the Republican National Convention.

"Zell Miller's not a Democrat," the Kerry spokeswoman said about Miller -- who describes himself as a lifelong southern Democrat and who complains that his party has no room for conservatives like himself.

"His speech was just full of distortions and lies," Debra Deshong told Fox & Friends on Thursday morning. She said Miller's speech was "so negative and so stunning, I can't imagine people watching at home would have any kind of positive reaction to it."
