Kerry needs to go on 60 Minutes.
Kerry needs to go on 60 Minutes as address these smears. It really helped Clinton when they attacked him. He needs to be open and say:

‘I volunteered to go to Vietnam when others would not, I protested the war when others did not. If my protest of the Vietnam War or my service in it upsets you, vote for Bush he did neither.’

3. unfortunately, he's framed things in another way
He can't afford to "not look presidential" and the media is complicit in framing this accusation in such a way as to accuse anyone who says it of huge disrespect to the office of the Presidency.

But is sure wouldn't hurt to have the 527s seize this issue. I keep wondering where the attack dogs are.

4. It Might Be Too Late Now
Kerry seems to have decided to wear that "kick me" sign. I'm mystified. Does the guy really want to be president?

5. No, he doesn't want to be president.
He simply loves the corp. owned WH media controlling every soundbite, talking head and "journalist". He really gets a thrill out of the propaganda that is brainwashed into the brains of Americans daily, he loves it. -sarcasm off-

9. the media loves conflict and kerry should feed them some
he has the truth on his side and you'd be amazed how quickly "the media" will start asking tough questions to bush and his allies if only kerry will lay down the gauntlet.

8. no it's not
the sbl's continue to run ads which might be a good thing (if of course the jk campaign can get a spine). the day after ben barnes's appearance on 60 minutes (on which he will tell the country that he got bush into the guard) jk must go on the stump and ask bush to come clean on his missing year. then he must repeat the challenge for at least a few days. the media will love this and they will go after the story and press bush on it. i'm tellin' ya...

7. only kerry can do it
Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 05:01 PM by bushwakker
the media or the 527's can not jo jk's dirty work for him. he's either got the stomach to do what must be done or he should just quit now. the media will cut him slack on going negative because they've slimed him so much. he commands the high ground on that score. he also has the advantage of hving the truth on his side because bush was awol. he needs to use the barnes 60 minutes appearance as the starting point of his assault against bush. the very next day from the stump he needs to publicly ask bush to account for his lost year in the TANG. the media will then badger the bush campaign for an answer and we will have effectively put the spotlight on the littlle piece of shit from crawford.

10. It would be great
60 min would be watched by far more people than some CNN soundbite.

11. But, what do YOU need to do?
that's a more important question for each of us to answer.
