O'Reilly take on SBVT, heard this afternoon. O'Reilly a guest on
local wingnut Greg Knapp (sp?) show, Dallas area. Interesting.

O'Reilly says, after doing his "research" on SBVT, he finds it about 30% true, 70% "gas" (his word).

He said right wing propagandists would not care whether it was true or not but just run with it.

He said most of it was a "smear campaign" against Kerry and he didn't like it. (his words)

I wonder if those who actually listen to his show have any comment on whether has echoed similar sentiments there.

1. if o'reilly's departing from his orders, this sbvt thing
must really be an albatross that's about to implode.

(pretty gross image, come to think of it.)

2. Since stories have been popping up lately,
Such, as yesterday's Billings Gazette story about real swift boat vets being added onto the SBVFT letter without their knowledge or permission, the story may be on its way to quick implosion.

According to the Gazette, Anderson (the vet), and other falsely added vets can't get ahold of the SBVFT group to get their names off the letter.... I wonder why they won't answer their email or telephones? :-)

3. what 30%
the fact all those guys were in vietnam, or were on swiftboats (not kerry's) should only add up to 5%, at most.

4. The rats are jumping ship.
Believe me, if this SwiftVet's lies has any credibility or truth to them, O'Reilly wouldn't be saying this. He may be an asshole, but unlike Bush, he isn't stupid.

6. I thought it amusing that he referred to "right wing propagandists"
(his words) with a straight face, obviously not including himself in that number.

8. It was kind of funny, because the wingnut host Knapp, who like O'Reilly IS
a right wing propagandist whether they accept this title or not, was clearly uncomfortable with this line of discussion and was at a little bit of a loss as to what to say. I'm sure he was expecting the usual "and these Swift Boat Veterans are courageous patriots to come out and expose this truth against all odds" that he would have gotten from Hannity or one of the other pod people.

We are experiencing technical difficulties! Back after this message! LOL

5. O'Reilly Is Hedging His Bets
in case Kerry wins the election, he doesn't want to be totally frozen out of the next administration

7. Limbaugh's telling his dittoheads the ads are a Clinton dirty trick
That's a sign the dirty trick's blown up in their faces....

"From the August 31 edition of The Rush Limbaugh Show:
LIMBAUGH: I still say, if you really dig deep, you might find some Clinton PAC money, laundered three or four different ways, found its way to the Swift Vets. But that's just me."

"Still" is an especially funny touch....

9. Yeah, just like the Polier smear attempt was Clinton directed via the
devilish Wes Clark campaign. Those devilishly clever Clintons, scheming, ever scheming, for Hilary's 2008 run!

:eyes:

Um, right, Beavis.
