No follow up questions tomorrow
In the format (2 min answer for each, then 30 sec response for each), there doesn't seem to be any room for the moderator to ask follow up questions for either Biden or Palin. Palin might look better than she did in the interview since she can wander off into a subject or story she is farmiliar with without worrying that she is going to get called on completely ignoring the question. Hopefully the questions are specific enough so that such a tactic would make her look silly.

1. I think the moderators will still follow up if they don't answer the
question..I'm hoping they put some wiggle room in for that. If they can't ask her anything we can just use the answer they both gave about the supreme court decision from katies' interview and call it a night.

3. it's funny when you realize how we'd learn so much more from a single press conference
Edited on Thu Oct-02-08 02:20 AM by calmblueocean
Okay, maybe not funny. More sad.

But this debate will be basically a series of competing monologues, with no clarification or questioning. Palin will be in her element, and will shine precisely because no one can pointedly challenge her vague, stemwinding bullshit.

Just one press conference, and Palin would be utterly destroyed by the press. Which is why they won't let her have one.

It's hard not to just shake your head at the joke our great democracy has become.

4. I was just thinking... if I was Sarah
I'd fly commercial from Sedona all the way to St. Louis tomorrow. Or at least make sure that BOTH John and Cindy are on the plane with you. Second thought, fly commercial and don't let anyone know which flight.
