Write-in candidate
I've decided to run for president, at this late date. Here is my platform-

No bailout. Period

Every soldier back home within 30 days of my election

All tax cuts to the rich, repealed immediately

50% tax rate on all billionaires, no loopholes, no exceptions

Criminal investigations against Bush and Cheney to begin immediately after election

All earmarks on legislation will be outlawed

Immediately ban all imports from countries who import more to us than they buy

Deficits will be outlawed

The list goes on forever, but you see where I'm coming from!

Just write in the name "Uben Scrude" on your ballot

Thank you-

I am Uben Scrude, and I approve of this message.

1. I've had enough of candidates who are so sure of themselves... thanks.

2. Are you advocating your own run against Obama?
Also - you might want to brush up on economics a bit. The bailout is not by a long shot the best thing we can do, but unfortunately its becoming increasingly clear that its going to be necessary to keep this crisis from obliterating Main Street.

Other than that, you are on the right path. But I still like Obama more.

3. "ban all imports from countries who import more to us than they buy" - nearly the whole world
A list of the biggest trading partners: http://dataweb.usitc.gov/scripts/cy_m3_run.asp

In the top 20, countries from which the US imports more than it exports to: Canada, China, Mexico, Japan, Germany, UK, South Korea, France, Taiwan, Italy, Venezuela, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, India, Ireland, Nigeria.

Those the US exports more to: Netherlands, Singapore, Belgium.

I'd be particularly interested to see what you propose to do about oil imports, when you've banned practically all of them.

4. Yeah, good luck with that.
Might work on Planet Rainbows & Butterflies. In reality...not so much.
