I Got A Feelin’ — McCain Campaign “Adjusting” in Key States - Michigan, Virginia, Florida, In., etc.

I Got A Feelin’ reports like these are gonna come fast & furious:

McCain pulling out of Michigan

Florida GOP meets in secret as Obama passes McCain in polls

McCain Has to Add A Dozen New Offices in Va.

McCain starts running ads in GOP-friendly Indiana

N.C. voter registration smashes records with 600,000 new voters

&, of course, the bizarre foray by McCain to Iowa — a state he’s losing by double digits in polls BEFORE the economic crisis hit the voter’s consciousness

On Iowa, from a former McCain adviser:

What the Hell was McCain even doing there in the first place?

4. The Iowa thing baffles me
but then again McCain has been running one of the most erratic, bizarre, and idiotic (not to mention mean spirited, nasty, and grossly deceptive) campaigns ever.

If I were advising him, I'd tell him to just spend all my time and resources defending Bush states (and that too the big ones - OH, FL, VA, and CO). The only realistic offensive state he has less is NH but I think his fortunes are fading there as well. I think McCain sees an opening in MN as well due to Palin's accent...I know there's a SUSA poll showing him up by a point. It seems like an outlier, but I think MN will be somewhat closer than it was polling earlier. I still think Obama will win it by 5 points or so.

5. Kick - I wonder if he's putting everything into Ohio?
Or if he's even moving those resources around?

6. They say they're putting it in MAINE in the hope of taking ONE of that state's electoral votes!!!
Maine, like Nebraska, uses the Congressional District method of awarding EVs

& PA activists think McCain will pull out of there soon, too. Mebbe to put more resources into making sure he can carry Arizona

12. They're definitely coming to Maine's Second CD
And we're saying "Bring 'em on". I expect Sarah Failin Palin to fly in and do her cuteness show. We'll be ready.

It's a little late to counter the ground forces the Maine Dems and the Obama campaign have now. The GOP isn't have as organized as we are.

7. He cut back on spending here in Florida
Let me tell you, as someone who works at a TV station, it hurts. We love to take their money no matter if they are Repub or Democratic.
