Psychic: Stars not aligned for Palin, doubts election will take place
Yahoo is running this Politico headline and story:

Well-known psychic Elizabeth Joyce has doubts there will be an election this November. Her instincts tell her that, come next week, there might be “rioting in the streets and martial law” and that President Bush will henceforth carry out his term indefinitely.
...
That means Mercury’s retrograde could really stultify Palin. “There’s a slight astrological possibility that Mrs. Palin would pull out. ... Or she maybe just have one of those long Ms. South Carolina pauses,” O’Dowd said, referring to a notorious and excruciatingly embarrassing beauty pageant flub that occurred in 2007. She pegged its likelihood at 50 percent.

1. That wouldn't be the same psychic who TOTALLY MISSED the WS meltdown, would it?
Fuckin' idiots.

2. Interesting.... What might cause the rioting in the streets...something to do
with the stock market? Remember Mike Malloy taking about Directive 51.

17. Don't hold your breath...
A lot of those who have inner vision don't realize that a bunch of people watching a TV show/movie will "look" like a real event to the psychic viewer. You'll always see a lot of bad predictions before a new disaster movie comes out too.

3. I have been sayin the same for awhile (not in here though)
They have too much to lose. And things are being setup for conflict in the country RIGHT NOW!! W Will enough people hit the streets if it happens (perhaps block ALL major intersections as Hartman suggested on the radio recently)?

5. It's easy to get people to go along with a Martial Law
when you have a solid approval rating. When your approval rating is 22% not so sure.

In addition you are assuming the Generals would go along with it. No way. Plus we have the Senate and House to impeach.

4. I am also a psychic
I can see a clear future for my evening...dinner, play with the kids, a few Blue Moons, a Palin ass-kicking, and bedtime.

8. Holy shit! A debate during a Mercury retrograde!!?!?!?
That is not going to be good for EITHER candidate -- expect verbal miscommunication/gaffes from both parties. :(

11. True...but Joe's the one with more confidence.
It's interesting though that the 2000 elections happened during Mercury Retrograde and this plunge in the market did as well.

13. The next two Presidential debates are while Mercury is still
in Retrograde, they being the last two debates.

15. Mercury Retrograde.
Discussed here last week (or maybe ten days ago). I believe it was retro during the Presidential debate.

18. Evidence please
Given that both Palin and Biden have made gaffes in the past, I'm not expecting either of them to have a perfectly smooth evening. I don't need to examine laws of planetary motion for this.

28. So, given that everyone said they both had very good debates...
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 06:56 PM by anigbrowl
(Palin didn't make a complete ass of herself, and Biden was sharp, witty, and stayed focussed) and that while there were a few mispronounced words and verbal stumbles here and there, there didn't seem to be any more than you would pect in a 90 minute verbal exchange, Ceiling Cat wishes to know...

19. One of their charts might be more favorable though right?
Even though Mercury Rx screws everyone over, I think it's possible to weather it better if your transits are more favorable. I haven't followed astrology in awhile.. I wonder if anyone has interpreted their charts relative to the debates.

12. No way will Bush carry on indefinitely.
That man is marking off days on his calendar. He clearly does not want to be there anymore. Why would he if he could just do nothing for the rest of his life. He is best suited for doing nothing, after all.

20. "Real juju takes place on the Q.T."
True psychics NEVER reveal that they are psychic and never do anything that would give anyone a reason to think they were psychic. Real magic only works when it can be passed off as coincidence. It must stay hidden from view and must always be deniable by anyone who is skeptical of it. That's the rules real wizards and magic users abide by.

Think of what life would be like for someone who had demonstrated absolute proof of some such power. They wouldn't have a moments peace. People would hound them for lottery numbers, or beg them to be healed. Mafia thugs would kidnap them and hold them prisoner forcing them to reveal which horse would win, or which stock would go up. Unless the CIA grabbed them first and conscripted them into service.

The consequences for disobeying the rules are so dire that only a charlatan would ever claim to be a psychic. The real deal will NEVER been discovered by the non-magical public, or "muggles" as we are called by magic folk.

25. I don't believe in psychics at all but
I just find it strange that several of them are predicting some kind of major event early next week. There were two guys on Coast To Coast last week who predicted that October 7th would involve a major event that would badly affect America. Maybe all the psychics are copying each other.

and maybe the payout to the foreign countries was really meant to make them shutup about it. :tinfoilhat:

32. I have been hearing this since my anti-Vietnam War days in the late 1960s.
It seems to surface every now and again.

I am so tired of this tirade every 4 years or so. It hasn't happened, folks. Maybe it will this year but what if it doesn't?

Really tired of hearing this practically every presidential election year...
