Bush's DD214...Kerry should demand it.
You discharge paper form DD214 is one if not the most precious documents any service member gets. It shows all your major commands, training, Medals and the type of discharge. It is the Holy Grail the smoking gun of documents.

Kerry has his released.

Bush has not.

Kerry should demand Bush release that document and harp on it everyday.

1. Isn't a DD214 a separation document...
... for active duty personnel? That's what I remember. Bush was not an active duty member of the armed forces. He did active duty time for training, which is not the same thing.

Don't think Bush can produce one if it was never issued.

Cheers.

5. you maybe right.. I am not exactly sure.
You maybe right.

I was an Active member and no offense to those reservists and guardsman in Iraq and else where on active duty, they deserve alot of praise. Active duty members tend to look down on them because active members endure the military lifestyle almost everyday.

2. Can the DD214 be publically accessed or are these private?
...If public say like high school graduation records, why not just demand them from the military?

3. Thank you for your service
Tonight I was at a political gathering where our Governor Mark Warner VA) spoke with us. I talked with three vets--besides my husband--who are for Kerry. One was WWII, one Korean, like my husband, and one from Viet Nam. I thanked them as well.

7. Thanks but it not a big thing really.
The general public have a Hollywood view of the military the military is not all fun and games or even war games. It is mostly long boring days of doing things most people would hate to do. Standing boring watches and loosing sleep over stuff that really does not matter that much.

The military has plenty of losers in it.

This is my opinion so do not go into a tizzy anyone for insulting your service.

4. Yes he should
If Kerry himself does not press the issue of Bush's "lost years" in the TANG then the issue will go away. The media is not gonna do the dirty work for him. Kerry must roll up his sleeves and "call out" Bush on being AWOL. It must be done soon. The media will not begrudge Kerry for doing this. He would merely be defending himself from a vicious assault.

9. It is not signed ?
I find that odd.

I do not know Guard very well. I would think it would require a signature of the guardsman.

10. With all the info blacked out on that form, how do we know it's Junior?
His date of birth is common knowledge, and I see no reason why his weight and height at the time of release would be considered "sensitive" data.

Rather, I think they have been censored because they don't match the facts about George Walker Bush.

12. Unless its the original, carbon or a certified copy...it means nothing.
A scan of a document does not mean anything. I guess the media has seen the original or certified copy. If not legally it means nothing.
