Is Pataki trying to speak like Reagan?
Sure sounds like he's trying to mimic "The Gipper's" speech style to me. What a maroon! as Bugs would say.

9. Ooooooh here comes Shrubby now!
How many times will HE slam Kerry? I think Kerry's name has been mentioned more during the RNC that it was during the DNC.

2. Possibly
But Pataki is a complete bonehead, so it's possible that his idiocy could be confused with Reagan's senility.

14. Nah, Eastwood talks like he's got a pair
With that breathy stage whisper Pataki sounds more like the teacher from Beavis & Butthead Do America who sings "Lesbian Seagull" (Mr. Van Dreesen?)

4. I noticed this too ...it's so freaking weird.
Did you hear him say - "and george w. bush is no ordinary leader". It was a strange whisper growl or something.

12. Makes sense. She's desperate for another Reagan.
Where's her smirky face been lately anyway?

11. Reagan told the US soothing lullabies and bedtime stories. Pataki
sounds like an simpleton trying to read My Pet Goat to kindergartners. Of course, it could make bush look less like a simpleton...!
