More from the 7-11 coffee cup election.
As you may or may not know, 7-11 is holding an "election" based on who buys more Obama or McCain coffee at their store. This election has actually been pretty accurate in the last two presidential elections. Anyway, the results two days ago were:

http://www.7-election.com /

OBAMA 57% McCAIN 43%

In the win column for McCain:
NH
NJ
WV
NC
KS

In the win column for Obama:
WA
OR
CA
NV
UT
CO
AZ
TEXAS! hahahahahahahah
MS
IL
IN
MI
OH
PA
VA
FL
VT
MA
RI
CT
DE
MD
DC

And the results today are:

OBAMA 57% McCAIN 43%

McCain
Maine
New Hampshire
New Jersey
West Virgina

TIE
Idaho
NC
New York

Obama
EVERYTHING ELSE.
Hahahahhahahaha.
WA
OR
CA
NV
UT
CO
AZ
TX
KS
MS
IL
IN
MI
OH
PA
VA
FL
VT
MA
RI
CT
DE
MD
DC

3. NJ for McCain??
Could it be the truckers on the Jersey Turnpike? I just don't see Jersey as red.

6. LOL, that's kinda ironic that the "free market" would accurately poll the election.
that would be the ultimate Fuck you to the free market loving Republicans.

I know it doesn't sound as cool but what the fuck happened to the "mixed market" system we were supposed to have? That was supposed to be the best of both worlds as the free market never would work in reality because people on a mass scale fucking suck at not being crappy so the government regulation, which also sucks when it's a completely nationalized market, gets added to mix to compensate. It's like chocolate-- people always assume the more chocolate the better when they don't realize that 100% pure chocolate is actually really fucking bitter and an acquired taste (although it can be some of the finest in the world but not feasible to have in massive quantities). The chocolate that most people know and love had to be arrived at through years and years of experimentation and basically needed other ingredients added in order to make it more edible for popular consumption.

22. Yeah, I'm particular about my chocolate as I hate it if's too sweet but also if it's too bitter.
I've had 90% pure chocolate and it sucked. It's definitely sold as a delicacy though but for the majority of people, normal mixed chocolate is the way to go.

I mean, if you don't mix it up, you don't get completely delicious stuff like white chocolate or the Lindor truffles. Seriously, you shouldn't go to extremes if you can help it in your life, so why can't people realize that when it comes to their government and public institutions?

Nj is as blue as they come. I've lived here for over 20 years and have never bought coffee at 7-11....

8. So why is Texas polling blue? (Snicker)
Seriously, I do realize that this is doubtless massively skewed by where the stores are and who buys there -- I'm just enjoying seeing Texas blue. :D

17. Actually, no
They buy it at Irving.

Most of the 7/11s in NH are in urban/suburban areas like Manchester and Nashua.

11. There aren't any 7-11s in cities, they are mostly part of gas stations.
So this may be skewed that way. I really don't see many of them at all here in the scenic, and historical Hudson Valley of NY. I think in all my travels around here in the past 30 years, I have seen all of 4.

14. Ahah. See, that makes sense.
Here in Texas, 7-11's are a fairly urban phenomenon. And they are EVERYWHERE.
