Expectations for Tuesday's Town Hall-style Debate are VERY high for McCain
and very LOW for Obama. I've heard Repub. strategists stupidly saying there won't be any teleprompters there so they don't think Obama will do nearly as well as McCain who will be "in his element." We all know how great Obama is, how real, detailed, and even funny he can be at these town halls. He'll once again be declared the winner just by "holding his own" against McCain. :D

5. My pleasure...
I heard a Repub. on tv saying that just YESTERDAY! They're supposed to RAISE the bar for "the other guy." Some of these RWers didn't get the memo. :)

22. Not to mention his trouncing of McCain during the first debate
Where McCain was supposed to be the "expert"!!!! If Obama can beat McCain at his supposed "strength" in regards to the issues, I'm sure he can do it at his supposed "strength" in regards to the format.

I heard a clip of one town hall meeting, McCain started getting kind of "testy" when asked some questions about his support for veterans. Yeah, McCain will really do a good job of "connecting" with voters.
:sarcasm:

7. I think McCalin is going to crash and burn on tuesday. He needs a game changer and a town hall is
not the forum for radical attacks.

Obama is simply more likable and McCalin is more erratic.

I think that the polls will be even better for us by this friday.

they are there to give questions to candidates and answers.

13. color me confused
cuz I am remembering ghosts of town halls past wherein McCaint made so many gaffes and misstated his own position and stumbled over words and forgot words that I can't imagine what they are so gleeful about.

McCaint will attack with sarcasm, lies and vitriol. It seems to be all he can remember and get right.

We all know how attractive that is.

Obama will soar as the Philosopher King he is and elevate this great nation to even higher levels of positive energy and hope than he did during the last debate.

Bring it on, McLiar.

The PERCEPTION is still that this is McCaIn's strength since he brags about how many
hundreds of town halls he's held, and since he's been challenging Obama to join him in a series of them and he's refused.

16. this is the meme they are spinning, but keep in mind.....
at McSenile's "Town Hall" meetings, the RePugBots are the only ones in attendance.
They only toss softballs, lovingly, to the old fart.
This Town Hall debate audience is SUPPOSED to be carefully chosen Independents, asking questions that could catch McClueless off guard.

veterans, even citing specific votes he made, and McCain got irritated and lied to him, claiming his information was wrong!

28. Oh, yeah, right!
I just saw that clip a few days ago. That definitely caught him off guard!
McNasty's mean temper was barely contained (if at all).
He showed his contempt for anyone that would dare question him.
Oh how I want to see this bastard have a colossal meltdown live for millions to see.
I think he is almost there, given the Des Moines editorial board session.

37. The Town Hall Debate Audience Will be Carefully Chosen…
…and the ones who actually get called on even more carefully chosen.
Brokecaw has been working with the McCain campaign on this for weeks!

We may even recognize some of the questioners:

This Town Hall debate audience is SUPPOSED to be carefully chosen Independents, asking questions that could catch McClueless off guard.

and Diebold voting machinez are supposed to accurately count all the votes.

If Brokaw is in the tank on this, we could be screwed. The questions slanted for McMean.
He could turn the tide personally. Why oh why is it him.

19. Obama won the last debate, and if he did make any mistakes,
his biggest critic was probably himself. And Barack is a quick study, as witnessed by how he continues to improve in his campaigning. So I am sure he is going to be even more ready for this next debate. Can't wait.

23. Maybe if it was a Townhall.com debate...
Legit audiences with legit questions? Well... my expectations are to see McCain get asked something he really doesn't want to answer, like "what the hell were you thinking picking that woman?!"

30. can you tell us what you have learned since the s& l scandal
and what your invovement in the keating five has taught you since then? i mean, it is the last crisis we faced in this country before this one, and you were right in the middle of it. and you said you were going to change things back then, but your record seems to belie that promise. so, why should we believe anything you say now, senator mccain?
