A breakdown of the Protesters who screwed up Bush's shining moment
At least two protesters were able to infiltrate Madison Square Gardens and shout down President Bush during his acceptance speech. The following is the sequence of events as I observed them:

The first was a young lady who, at a quiet moment in Bush's speech, shouted something out. The camera is on Bush initially but as the young women starts shouting, Bush's eyes dart over to where she is. He looked nervous. The cameramen start to move their cameras to catch the action. The crowd around the woman began to shout "4 more years" over and over as the cameramen frantically scramble to get a shot. We see a young women being dragged out of the center by 5 or 6 men in suits. Bush continues his speech but his eyes are darting back and forth and he is shaken. Several minutes later another protester shouts something. The cameramen go crazy trying to catch it. The crowd shouts. Bush is shaken again from his prepared speech and we catch a glimpse of a young man being hustled out. It took Bush several minutes to regain his composure and the crowd was completely thrown off the rythym of the speech. I thought there may have been one more but nothing definate. Bush looked furious at one point.

I wonder where those people are now? Free speech lives and is currently in custody somewhere under Madison Square Gardens.

2. Reminded me of that video of Saddam
when he had all his enemies escorted out of the Iraqi assembly. Most of them were taken outside and killed in cold blood. At least in the USA, they will just send you to an undisclosed location and torture you.

7. Oh, come on!
If a Freeper disrupted Kerry's speech, you'd want him dragged out of the Fleet Center, too, wouldn't you?

It wasn't some patriot being silenced, it was a disruptor being escorted out. I'm happy to see a disruptor at the RNC, but I don't blame the security for escorting them out.

6. That is why he refuses to speak to a real crowd..
.. he has anger issues, and he's afraid for his life in a paranoid way. He shouldn't be too worried tonight. that stage was supposedly surrounded by blast and bullet proof materials.. but see-thru. He's a coward.

w/ the security guards! Yeee-ha! The cameras caught some glimpses of that, and I thought she put up a pretty sustained fight for someone who was about to be labelled a 'terrorist' for "national security reasons" <I feel certain!>.

Then, when the second scuffle came, the cameras didn't catch it... at least the MSNBC cameras didn't. I don't know if C-Span or any of the other channels did. I feel certain that there were enough journalists there that we'll be seeing pictures on the Internet soon enough.

It certainly did disrupt the bush speech. The man has good reason to be paranoid...everyone in the world, except his "base", hates the guy. And even though you could tell he had on his bullet-proof vest (by the way he waved when he first came through the shining 'gates' ) he was pretty scared during the fray.

There did seem to be a third scuffle, as well, but by then, I think, security was pretty well tightened up; or, it was so close to the second one that they only counted as one disruption.

Man! Those protesters are FEARLESS! But for the rest of the speech, everyone was kind of waiting for the next shoe to drop, so the protesters served their purpose.
