This Is Kind Of Damning... The Fact That They Didn't Even Tell Her...
Palin again questions McCain plan to quit Mich.
Oct 5, 2008 9:35 AM (27 mins ago)

<snip>

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin continues questioning presidential candidate John McCain's decision to abandon efforts to win Michigan.

In Englewood, Colo., on Saturday, Palin repeated her wish that the campaign had not pulled out of Michigan, where Democrat Barack Obama leads by double-digit percentage points in recent polls.

The Alaska governor says she'd "sure love to get to run to Michigan" to make sure state residents know the Republicans haven't given up in the state.

A day earlier, McCain's running mate told Fox News Channel she was disappointed that the McCain campaign decided to stop competing in Michigan. She says she learned of the decision when she read about it in the newspapers.

3. Wouldn't you think she'd read a newspaper or listen to a news report?
I mean, she's really only window dressing, but she would do well to fend for herself and be responsible for getting her own news....

4. The fact that the campaign is talking out loud about this in front of mikes
instead of behind closed doors, leads me to believe that this was done for effect to stimulate grassroots support for a GOP Michigan "you're on your own" movement.

Everything they do is for the sake of PR and nothing else.

7. I agree--they keep making a big deal about this and trotting out the show pony
to comment on it. It's not an accident, but I don't see the strategic benefit of painting your campaign as giving up and looking like losers.

11. You are correct in terms of strategy........although I believe that this
is just another tactic...the only thing that McCain knows.

They are just hoping that Palin Lovers will be energized enough to keep up the spirit to fight.

It is elementary, like most of the McCain tactics this election thus far.

15. But if they are actually "clever" enough to do some kind of double reverse
trickity-thing . . . do you think Palin gets it? Do you think she's in on the trick (wink, wink) or do they just leave her out there twistin' and doin' her folksy thang?

I think she really is out of the loop--whatever the damn loop is actually about.

6. That is how you treat puppets, proof she is of no value except
to bring in anyone silly enough to fall of a wink and a smile. She is no more than a hand puppet for the behind-the-scenes thugs that run this country.

She just doesn't know it. It is pathetic to see someone like palin thinking that their presence is important. She is the tool they need to keep up the devious behavior of these last 8 years.

Uh - no she didn't. We have already established that the arrogant ignorant nasty asshole could not name one newspaper or magazine that she reads.

18. Either did not trust her with information or
she is caught up in the good old boy network. To not be a part of the decision or at least informed of the decision says that I either Mcsame & staffers do not trust or, do not have faith in her. I personally think it is a big statement that she was not informed, that she had to find it out in a newspaper... surprising she actually knows what a newspaper is and can actually read it!

Come on, lets face it... if you were making a serious decisions, would YOU want her in the decision making process????? Frightening thought, huh!

But boy does that say that McSame has NO respect for his running partner?

I wonder if she really thought that they weren't sexist, or if their inate sexism just wouldn't apply to her.

20. They would have liked to tell her, but it would have involved sending
her a map, and telling her about all the different states separated by the lines, and then pointing out which one was Michigan -- "It's this one right, here, Governor -- the one by the great big lake!" etc.
